We have shown that virulence of the type III secretion systems (TTSS-1, -2 and -3) of P. aeruginosa is not required for virulence in the alveolar space of chronic Pseudomonas-infected mice. In this study we examined how TTSS-2 (previously studied), the most important TTSS-2 and the TTSS-2 mutant (both lacking TTSS-1) and TTSS-3 perform within an acute mouse model of chronic Pseudomonas pneumonia. The TTSS-2 and TTSS-3 mutants were mildly attenuated in the acute model with higher bacterial counts recovered from the lungs of infected animals, but greater numbers of bacteria were recovered from the blood and spleen compared with wild type and TTSS-2 mutants. These results show that the TTSS-2 and TTSS-3, which are expressed under iron-limiting conditions, and which both contribute to the establishment of chronic colonization, can also affect the acute host response. As a technique of changing the synthesis gas processing device of the above-mentioned (2), an example of changing an adsorbent has been known (Patent Document 1). More specifically, there is a method of filling an exhausted adsorbent with an adsorption activated carbon to replace the adsorbent by using the adsorption activated carbon. However, since in this method, the exhausted adsorbent is filled in a column, a problem is posed in that it is impossible to carry out a reaction and separation efficiently. Further, in this method, it is impossible to carry out a reaction and separation efficiently since the adsorbent which has not been filled in the column enters the column. 82138339de
